Lujos: Claudio Borghi & Hugo Rubio nearly score a brilliant goal
In 1992 Argentine forward Claudio Borghi joined Chilean side Colo-Colo, despite only staying for one season he became an icon at the club and returned to manage the side in 2006 leading them to four consecutive league titles. Back in 1992 he was involved in this incredible move in a game against Palestino which nearly resulted in one of the best goals ever, however Hugo Rubio's volley hit the bar.
Golazo: Damián Akerman, Morón vs Estudiantes BA, 2007
Argentine striker Damian Akerman has played professional football for a number of different clubs in Argentina, Chile and Bolivia. The club where he has spent the best part of his career is Deportivo Morón in the lower leagues of Argentine football. he is a popular player with the fans, understandably so given the quality of this goal against Club Atlético Estudiantes in 2007.
Golazo: Dodó, Santos vs Internacional, Brasileirão 1999
In 1999 Brazilian striker joined Santos from São Paulo, he scored 30 goals in 55 league games for Santos and this was probably the pick of them. A brilliant "sombrero" to lift the ball over the defender followed by a magnificent volley into the bottom left corner of the net to give his side a 2-1 win against Internacional.
Golazo: Luis Ramírez, Colombia vs Peru, friendly 2010
Peru national team had a disastrous World Cup 2010 qualification campaign, finishing bottom of the South American qualification table. Under new manager Uruguayan Sergio Markarián there are signs of improvement. On November 17 2010 they traveled to Colombia for an international friendly. Luis Ramírez put the away side ahead with this magnificently controlled volley and Peru claimed a creditable 1-1 draw.

6 November 2010: After tormenting his former club Arsenal in the group stage of the Champions League on the Wednesday, Brazilian born Croatian striker Eduardo da Silva netted this brilliant volley for Shakhtar Donetsk against Kryvbas in the Ukrainian Premier League.
Golazo: André Días vs Palermo, Serie A 2010
Lazio have started the Serie A season in brilliant form, racing to the top of the table. On 31 October 2010 Brazilian defender André Dias chipped in with this brilliant volley into the top corner for the only goal of the game in a 0-1 away win against Palermo.
