Emerson dos caños contra São Paulo
On Sunday 26 June 2011 Corinthians hosted São Paulo in the 6th round of the Brasileirão 2011 tournament. On paper it should have been a tough game for Corinthians given that São Paulo were the league leaders and the only side to win all of their opening five games however Corinthians won the game 5-0 and 2nd late substitute Emerson took the opportunity to do some real showboating pulling off two nutmegs in the space of 30 seconds.
Lucas golazo vs Mirassol, Paulista 2011
There has been a lot of hype about 18 year old São Paulo & Brazil international midfielder Lucas and also some confusion given the fact that there is already a Brazil international nicknamed Lucas. The general consensus is that Lucas the younger has great skills and lots of pace but is lacking in awareness, something that he is likely to improve with age and experience. On 3 April 2011 he scored this great individual goal against Mirassol in the Paulista championship.
Rogério Ceni 100 goals
On 27 March 2011 legendary Brazilian goalkeeper Rogério Ceni scored this cracking free kick for São Paulo in a 2-1 win against Corinthians. He is the highest scoring goalkeeper in the history of professional football with 100 goals, see video below.
Incredible rain in Estádio do Morumbi, Paulista 2011
On 27 February 2011 São Paulo faced Palmeiras in the 10th round of the 2011 Paulista championship. There was a torrential downpour before the game resulting in stands and dugouts full of water and a pitch looking like something that only English sides in the 1970s would be crazy enough to play on.
Amazingly the game went ahead, the final score was 1-1.

Cosas locas: Richarlyson red card vs Fluminense, Brasileirão 2010
On 21 November 2010 Fluminense faced a tough trip to face São Paulo in the 36th round of the Brasileirão 2010 championship. They had a chance to go back to the top of the table with only two games of the season remaining with a win.
Fluminense established a lead but São Paulo levelled the scores with a lovely goal from Lucas Gaúcho. At this point Fluminense were struggling however the game changed when the referee sent off two of São Paulo's players in a seven minute spell. The first did seem to be a professional foul however after Fluminense won the title their criticspointed to this 2nd red card as a definitive moment in their championship.
Fluminense managed to score 3 goals against the 9 man side and give themselves a 1-4 win and establish a one point advantage with 2 games remaining.

Golazo: Dayro Moreno, Once Caldas vs São Paulo, Copa Libertadores 2010
25 February 2010. Colombian side Once Caldas faced São Paulo of Brazil in the group stage of the 2010 Copa Libertadores. The game was a repeat of the 2004 semi-final which the Colombian minnows had won against all the odds with a 2-1 home win in the 2nd leg, to set up a final with Boca Juniors which they won after two draws and an incredible penalty shoot out in which Boca had missed all of their penalties.
In the 2010 rematch the Brazilian side took the lead with a free kick from their goalkeeper Rogerio Ceni, before Once Caldas recovered to repeat the 2-1 scoreline of 6 years before, with this stunning goal from Dayro Moreno.
Both sides qualified for the 2nd round, Once Caldas could not repeat the dream of 2004 losing in the 2nd round to Libertad of Paraguay. São Paulo made it to the semi-final which they lost to fellow Brazilians and eventual champions Internacional.
