Match reports
Lanús lost the only remaining 100% record after a 0-0 draw with San Martín de San Juan meaning that four other teams could join them at the top on seven points. Boca Juniors followed up their thumping 4-0 win in round two with a 1-0 win against Newell's Old Boys, Racing Club inflicted a third successive defeat on Banfield with a 0-1 away win, reigning champions Velez Sársfield scored a very late winner to pinch a 0-1 win at Arsenal and Colón continued their impressive start to the season with a 0-1 away win at Olimpo.
Atlético Rafaela recovered from their 1-3 home defeat in their first home game of the season to collect their second away win of the campaign with an impressive 1-2 win at All Boys.
San Lorenzo pulled off one of the most impressive results of the weekend with a 3-1 victory against Argentinos Juniors, making them the first side to score three against los bichos rojos in the league since Estudiantes in December 2010.
Tigre recorded their first win of the season with a 2-1 win against Godoy Cruz and two of the promoted sides Unión and Belgrano played out a tepid 0-0 draw.
